ENRICO MARIA BARONI
Enrico Maria Baroni actually holds the position of Principal Clarinet at RAI OSN, the only Italian Radio Symphony Orchestra. He studied at "G. Verdi" Conservatory of Music in Milan under the guide of M° Michele Carulli, where he obtained his bachelor's and master's degree with top marks.
After his studies, he soon began to pursue his career in International Orchestras as the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festivalorchester, the Philharmonie der Nationen.
At the same time, he perfected his mastering with the precious lessons of Paolo Budini, Guy Deplus, Kurt Weber, Fabrizio Meloni, Mauro Ferrando, Thomas Friedli, Alessandro Carbonare.
In 1995 he achieved the position for Deuxiéme Soliste at the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, joining the RAI OSN in 2000, after winning the concourse for Principal Clarinet.
Together with his activity at RAI, he is actively taking part to several Festivals as a solo and a chamber music player, such as Torino Settembre Musica, Sagra Musicale Malatestiana, Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto, Asolo Musica, Festival di Ravello, I Concerti del Quirinale, GOG di Genova, Società Barattelli de L'Aquila, Settimane Musicali di Stresa, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Festival Internacional de Murcia, Festival Tibor Varga, Ars Musica di Bruxelles, Festival Musical des Raspes, Latina 2000 (Musica Italiana in Sud America CIDIM), Festival de Las Almas, Festus Novus, Festival Cervantino.
As a soloist, he has worked with many renowned conductors: he performed the Debussy's Première Rhapsodie and Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante K297b under the guide of Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos (RAI), Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante K297b with Juraj Valcuha (RAI), and Mozart's Clarinet Concerto K622 with Jesus Lopez-Cobos (Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne) and Gianandrea Noseda (Stresa Festival Orchestra).
An active orchestra player, he has also been invited as guest solo clarinet at the Teatro Alla Scala Orchestra (Milan) and the Symphonica d'Italia, conducted by Lorin Maazel, and is regularly invited as a jury in international competitions.
He has recorded several albums with Rivoalto and RAI-Videoradio labels.
He is a founder member of the Quintetto Moderno, born after the split of Quintetto Avant-Garde, in order to continue the decennial activity in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Tunisy, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru.
Active also as a professor at Accademia "Perosi" in Biella and he has been holding several masterclasses and seminars at the National Conservatories in Milan, Turin, Brescia, Novara, Krakow (Poland), and in renowned academies like Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale Città di Saluzzo, World Youth Orchestra, Festival Santafiora in Musica, Settimane Musicali Castello di Strozzavolpe, Associazione Vivere la Musica di Sinagra, Tignale in Musica, Scuola Superiore di Musica di Brescia
